One Year On, Barely Any Of You Have Beaten Oblivion Remastered's Story

I think it's safe to say that few of us play Bethesda games for the main story. Usually, the pull is just running around, exploring the map, beating a few side quests, and becoming the head of every faction in the game.

This is even more true for Oblivion Remastered. Many would have beaten the story way back when, probably when they were kids playing on console without mods. So, when we got the big shiny remaster, many of us wanted to see the new and improved Cyrodiil, but not necessarily save it from the Oblivion Crisis.

A year after launch, achievement stats for Oblivion Remastered give us some insight into players' habits.

On PC, only 7.9 percent of players have the Champion of Cyrodiil achievement, which you get for beating the main story. Granted, this is likely a little lower because PC players are likely playing with mods or using console commands, which will lock you out of achievements unless you get another mod to reverse that, but the stats aren't much better on other platforms.
