Green Hell Sales Hit 12m as Seventh Anniversary Looms | TechRaptor

Developer and publisher Creepy Jar has announced that its Amazon jungle survival sim Green Hell has hit a new sales milestone as the game's eighth anniversary looms.

As revealed earlier today via a Steam post, Green Hell has hit 12 million sales since its Early Access launch back in 2018. It's received a number of updates and additions since then, as well as getting console ports and even the ability to play in VR (which I wouldn't recommend if you're an arachnophobe).

Somewhat confusingly, Creepy Jar says Green Hell launched in Early Access in 2019, but that's actually when the full 1.0 version of the game arrived; the Early Access release happened in August 2018, so the studio had a year or so to polish and refine Green Hell before its official launch.

Creepy Jar says it's done its best since 2019 to "create an immersive experience", looking back to a time in 2016 when the studio consisted of just five developers "creating early prototypes of a survival simulator". You know how the rest of the story goes.
