A Week After The Developer Shut Down, GreedFall: The Dying World Gets DLC

Last week, GreedFall and Steelrising developer Spiders revealed that it was shutting down. This was due to its parent company, Nacon's, financial woes, having filed for insolvency earlier this year.

However, some Spiders workers then came forward with claims that Spiders was sabotaged by Nacon, ignoring warnings about its own financial issues and shutting down projects so that it had nothing to work on after its latest release, GreedFall: The Dying World. As a result, the devs called on fans to boycott their own games, since they will no longer be making any money from the sales.

Now, as fans turn to Nacon for answers, we're met with silence. Instead of issuing a statement on Spiders' closure and responding to the allegations put forward by devs, Nacon has dropped GreedFall: The Dying World's DLC ten days earlier than advertised, seemingly making it available for free.

The release of this DLC is a little confusing. Peren's Black Mass was originally listed as premium DLC for €9.99 and not launching until May 14, but the wording here would suggest that it's just being chucked in with the latest update for free.

To make matters more confusing, I just installed the update, booted...
