007 First Light is only three weeks away. That's unless you plan on playing the new James Bond game on Nintendo Switch 2. First Light was supposed to be releasing on Switch 2 on May 27, the same day it arrives on other platforms, but its launch has been pushed until the summer. Don't worry, though, this isn't going to be another Borderlands 4 situation.
That promise comes directly from IO Interactive CEO, Hakan Abrak. Abrak talked all things First Light on The Game Business this week, including its Switch 2 delay. The CEO was asked if there's any chance the new Bond game will "do a Borderlands 4", a situation Abrak was blissfully unaware of until now.
First Light's Bond, Patrick Gibson, should be considered for the role in the movies, according to his fellow actor.
"What did Borderlands 4 do?" Abrak replied, prompting Game Business host Christopher Dring to explain that its Switch 2 version was delayed and has since disappeared. "No, no, no.
