Assassin's Creed Twitter Account Calls Out Leaker For Posting AI-Altered Invictus Images

Assassin's Creed has shown in the past that it's absolutely no stranger to rolling around in the dirt with some of social media's biggest bad actors. It famously ratioed Twitter owner Elon Musk - who claimed Assassin's Creed Shadows was "terrible" before even playing it - by bringing up the drama regarding Musk's boosted Path of Exile 2 account.

It's clapped back at a few more bad actors since then, but it's now back at it to put an industry insider in his place. First reported by Kotaku, an insider who goes by the name xj0nathan on Twitter claimed to have posted the first image of Assassin's Creed Invictus, the multiplayer, knockout-style game that's been in the works for a while.

To be fair to him, xj0nathan has been fairly accurate with his leaks in the past, and this one looked like no exception. However, it was very quickly flagged by Ubisoft itself, which used the Assassin's Creed Twitter account to point out that it's very obviiusly been altered by AI.
