Borderlands 4 Will Launch On Switch 2 Only After It's "Fully Addressed" On Other Platforms

The Nintendo Switch 2 port for Borderlands 4 was put on hold by Take-Two Interactive earlier this year. After promising stories about how great the platform was for the game, reports revealed that Borderlands 4 was having a rough time on the Switch 2. Eventually, all talk of the port went silent, except among a few ardent fans.

In fact, some people have even begun to call this "doing a Borderlands 4". With fans wondering what's going on with the Switch port, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick has finally given us an answer. Unfortunately, that answer won't make fans happy. It seems that the devs are currently focused on improving the game on other platforms, and will only start working on the Switch 2 port once they're done; whenever that might be.

In an interview with Game File, Zelnick revealed that the pause on the Borderlands 4 Switch 2 port is just that, a pause. It hasn't been canceled, and the devs are currently working on fixing the PC version's performance issues. Unfortunately, he gave no indication of when that would be solved or when work would resume on the Switch 2 version.
