Star Fox Is Significantly More Expensive In UK And US Compared To Japan

Yesterday, Nintendo pulled off arguably the most classic Nintendo move of all time. While companies like to prepare players for upcoming announcements, helping to build hype, Nintendo said, "I hope you're free, we've got a direct coming up where we're revealing a new Star Fox game in about 20 minutes." And that it did.

Star Fox was revealed for the Nintendo Switch 2 and is a complete remake of the N64 classic, with new visuals, modes, and a whole new prologue focused on Fox McCloud's father.

The new additions are nice, but given that this is now the fifth iteration of this version of Star Fox, you might expect a budget price tag. And while it's certainly cheaper than most triple-A titles, there is a huge price disparity between Star Fox in the West and in Japan.

We're now at a point where triple-A games are around $60–$70 (up to $100 if Grand Theft Auto 6 price rumors are to be believed). The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Star Fox comes in a little under that.
