Cow levels have been a tradition in the Diablo series since the halcyon days of Diablo 2, and now, it seems that players have finally found and completed Diablo 4's version of the long-running meme. Is that the end of things, though?
As reported by Eurogamer, YouTuber LoatheBurger appears to have become the first Diablo 4 player to have discovered the game's secret cow level, outlining the steps required to do so in a video a few days ago.
Unlocking the cow level is, as you've probably already surmised, a pretty involved process. It requires gathering items from across Diablo 4's world, and it also needs you to have the latest Lord of Hatred expansion, which might explain why nobody has managed to make this discovery before.
Although the cow level has now been discovered and completed, that might not be the full stop it sounds like. As Eurogamer points out, LoatheBurger subsequently found that the Cow King boss fought during the secret cow level drops an item called "Prime Rib".
