After an explosive launch, Arrowhead hasn't really been able to keep things steady, with reviews rising and subsequently falling after almost every update. I suppose that's consistency in one way.
Recently, however, the game hasn't been able to bounce back after complaints about monetization and balance, and the reviews just keep getting worse. As of the time of writing, Helldivers 2's recent Steam reviews are 'Mostly Negative', which is the worst it has ever been.
While the overall reviews are still Very Positive, a flurry of over 9,800 reviews have seen the recent reviews drop to Mostly Negative. Scrolling through them reveals that the players don't really hate the game itself, but the studio's decisions when it comes to the monetization features and the overall balance.
