Well, we all suspected this day would come. Nintendo has officially confirmed it will be raising the price of Nintendo Switch 2 consoles, starting September 1. In other words, if you've been thinking about picking up a Switch 2 for yourself, you might want to do so before the end of Summer.
“In light of changes in market conditions, and after considering the global business outlook, Nintendo will revise the manufacturer’s suggested retail prices (MSRP) of the Nintendo Switch 2 system and Nintendo Switch systems,” the company explained. “We sincerely apologize for the impact these price revisions may have on our customers and other stakeholders, and we deeply appreciate your understanding.”

This price increase comes just months after PlayStation jacked up the prices of various PlayStation hardware. PlayStation cited "continued pressures in the global economic landscape."
