Resident Evil Requiem Should Have Stuck With Mercenaries, As Leon Must Die Forever Isn't Going Down Well

In case you missed it, Capcom dropped its highly-anticipated DLC update last night, bringing a mode called Leon Must Die Forever to Resident Evil Requiem. It has you playing as Leon, and you go through the Leon sections of Requiem with different modifiers, making enemies beefier, harder to kill, and with an assortment of different weapons.

In theory, it sounds like a pretty neat idea, but most people that have jumped into Requiem to try this new mode out aren't coming away particularly impressed. For once, it sounds like Capcom has put out a bit of a stinker.

If you look around on social media, you can already find people calling the DLC half-baked or undercooked, such as the tweet above from a Twitter user called FPSthetics saying that it's "really not very good." In the comments, you can find a bunch of common complaints, calling it a worse version of Ethan Must Die from Resident Evil 7.

You then have a bunch of gameplay complaints, such as Leon's hatchet being breakable and that you can't actually repair it yourself once it's broken like you can in the main game. That then leads to the situation that Twitter...
