Marvel Rivals Bringing Back Controversial Overwatch Ultimate That's Been Missing for Years

The newly-revealed Marvel Rivals character, Adam Warlock, has an ability that seems to function almost exactly like Mercy's original Resurrection Ultimate in Overwatch. Marvel Rivals is one of the newer hero-shooter games on the scene, aiming to recreate the style of Overwatch but with a third-person perspective and a roster full of popular Marvel Comics characters.

The Marvel Rivals roster has been fleshed out quite a bit since the game's reveal, ranging from mainstream stars like Spider-Man and Iron Man to lesser-known Marvel Comics characters like Luna Snow and Magik. Adam Warlock's fame probably falls somewhere in the middle. While he's been a fixture of Marvel Comics for decades, the character is one of the more recent additions to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, having first appeared in 2023's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. In Marvel Rivals, Adam Warlock appears to be of the Strategist class, which is basically the game's equivalent of Overwatch's Support role.

Marvel Rivals' Alpha roster was met with a lot of praise from fans, though the game's leaked final roster might raise some eyebrows with two entries.
