Rayman Legends Remake Could Be Revealed "This Summer", Claims Leaker

According to Insider Gaming editor-in-chief Tom Henderson, the rumored Rayman Legends remake might be announced as soon as "this summer".

"I think we'll hear about it this summer," he said on the latest episode of the IGW podcast. "But who knows? They're doing the Rayman Legends remake, so we'll see."

Corroborating Henderson's claim, CEO Yves Guillemot teased earlier this year that Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition was merely the "first step in the brand's comeback," and that more would be unveiled "soon."

June marks the beginning of summer, and more importantly, Geoff Keighley's keystone Summer Game Fest event, which is typically jam-packed with surprises and 'world premieres.' The SGF attendees have not yet been announced, but it's possible that Ubisoft could appear during the showcase to unveil the remake.

As for how development is progressing, Henderson alleged that he's "hearing quite a lot of positive things about the Rayman Legends remake."

"That's coming back with co-op and everything that people loved from that game," he continued. "So, that's gonna do well for them I think."

Despite a general distaste for remakes, I'd be willing to make an exception for Rayman 2.
