After eight years of research, data mining, and "perseverance", YouTuber Thekempy has a frankly incredible deep dive that gives us our best look yet at what Amy Hennig's Uncharted 4 might have looked like.
The Uncharted series simply doesn't have a bad game to its name, but the all-time peak for the series for me is, without a doubt, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. Naughty Dog somehow managed to wrap up Nate's story in a heartfelt, satisfying, and epic way, while also giving us the best gameplay mechanics, visuals, and set pieces the series had ever seen.
To be fair, The Lost Legacy came pretty damn close, even if it doesn't get the flowers it deserves.
What makes A Thief's End especially interesting is that it was almost a very different game. Amy Hennig was originally going to return to direct the fourth entry and seemed to have a much darker vision for it, with Sam sounding like a villain in the reveal trailer. Hennig eventually exited the project, leaving us all to wonder what her Uncharted 4 could have looked like. Now, we might have an idea.
