While Crimson Desert's launch was decidedly mixed, the work that Pearl Abyss has done since deserves nothing but commendation. The company is well ahead of schedule when it comes to promised updates, and much of the work it's doing wasn't planned and is entirely based on player feedback.

Updates have regularly been pushed out, refining existing features and adding new ones, creating a far better experience for players. This has seen its Steam reviews steadily climb from "Mixed" to "Mostly Positive" and now to "Very Positive", with 86 percent of reviews now glowing.

One of the biggest early complaints about Crimson Desert was the fact that players were unable to tame and keep any mounts they found on their adventures. That has all changed now, however, with update v1.06.00 adding the ability to register 12 new mounts, alongside a range of new features.

Not long after Crimson Desert launched, players were in uproar over the inability to register new mounts. Pearl Abyss quickly rectified that, adding five a few weeks after launch. They included the White Bear, Silver Fang, Snowwhite Deer, Rock Tusk Warthog, and Icicle Edge Alpine Ibex.
