Slay the Spire 2 has endured a tough start to life. Following up on one of the greatest roguelike games of all time can't be easy, and the Mega Crit team is finding that out the hard way.

Just two weeks after the game launched, it suffered its first review bombing, with players frustrated with nerfs to several of the game's most popular cards. A second followed shortly after, as another update rolled out and was received poorly. Its third review bombing in the game's first two months, and perhaps the most significant, hit late last week.

This time, the swathes of negative reviews had nothing to do with the game itself, nor with any patch it received or the nerfs it dished out; instead, a range of "Gamergaters" were unhappy that Anita Sarkeesian was listed in the credits.

She has been in the credits since the game launched on March 5.

This series of review bombings has been brutal for Slay the Spire 2, with it now receiving 14 times as many negative reviews in two months as its predecessor received in seven years.
