Following rumors and leaks of something of the sort coming, Microsoft and Discord today announced a new partnership between the companies which will bring new content to each of their subscriptions. This continues a trend of changes and tweaks that have come since Asha Sharmin took over including a price cut to Xbox Game Pass (although that left it more expensive than it was a year before still).
The clear headliner of the partnership is for Discord, and their premium Nitro subscription. As part of their new Nitro Rewards the subscription will include a special starter edition of Xbox Game Pass that will include over 50 PC and Console games. It will include 10 hours of cloud gaming and will get new games added periodically. There is not yet a complete list of games available with the service but it will include: Fallout 4, Stardew Valley, DayZ, Deep Rock Galactic, Overcooked 2, and Grounded, showing a focus on evergreen titles with multiplayer as well as first party Microsoft games.
Additionally, Nitro Rewards will add discounts for Logitech G (30% off), SteelSeries (15% off), and KontrolFreek (20% off). Nitro Rewards are rolling out over all regions in the next few weeks...
