Subnautica 2 is only a couple of days away from launching in early access, a day that, at many stages throughout its development, seemed at risk of never arriving. As Unknown Worlds prepares to celebrate hitting that milestone, it has just hit another one, revealing to the massive Subnautica community that the sequel has now been wishlisted five million times.

The developers behind the highly anticipated sequel revealed the good news on Steam. "As we get closer to early access, your enthusiasm has continued to blow us away every single day. And now, thanks to all of you, Subnautica 2 has officially reached five million wishlists," the post reads.

It seems like the game's original creative director is hard at work making it happen.

To mark the occasion, Unknown Worlds has decided to give something back. "From the moment early access launches, every player across every platform will receive the Reaper Leviathan Statue blueprint. Not just during the first week." That means whenever you play, and wherever you play it, if you play Subnautica 2 during its early access period, you will receive the Reaper Leviathan Statue blueprint.
