If you thought hunting a Revenant in a dark basement was stressful and difficult enough, wait until you realize that Phasmophobia players will have to explore the terrifying Dark Place to identify ghosts for the next three weeks!

In a crossover that feels like it was written directly into existence by a supernatural typewriter, Kinetic Games and Remedy Entertainment have officially launched the “Phasmophobia by Alan Wake” event today, May 12th – a collaboration that is truly a dream come true for horror fans.

Surviving the Dark Place in Phasmophobia

Announced earlier this April at the Galaxies Showcase, this free update, which presents an unprecedented collaboration for Phasmophobia with the Alan Wake franchise, is now live on all platforms and brings a complete thematic overhaul to four iconic maps: Nell’s Diner, Grafton Farmhouse, Bleasdale Farmhouse, and Camp Woodwind.

Basically, as you explore these reimagined locations, the usual ghost-hunting loop gets a bit of a Remedy-style twist: players are challenged to find lost manuscript pages scattered across the scenarios, adding a fresh layer to the original survival experience of Kinetic's indie hit.
