Saros Update Addresses Several Progression Issues

Saros, Housemarque's latest third-person roguelite shooter, has just received another post-launch update. This marks the third patch Saros has received since its launch on PlayStation 5 on April 30.

While it's reportedly sold just 300,000 copies since launch and could be struggling to recoup its development costs, Saros has been a big hit with critics. On OpenCritic, Saros is sitting at a Top Critic Average of 87 with a recommendation score of 91%. GameRant's own Dalton Cooper gave Saros a 9/10 in his review, praising the game's accessibility, boss fights, and "exhilarating" combat, but stating that the game can feel a bit too repetitive at times.

Reports claim that Saros' early sales have been below expectations for a PS5 exclusive, especially considering its relatively high budget.

Over the last few weeks, Saros has received a total of three post-launch updates. The first of these arrived on May 5 and primarily focused on balancing and tweaking gameplay elements such as improving the accuracy of bullet bounces and adding damage scaling to Saros' Powered Dash Artifact.
