You Can't Destroy Cherry Blossom Trees In Forza Horizon 6 Because They're "Iconic" To Japan's Culture

Forza Horizon 6 has made sure that you can't drive through any of its cherry blossom trees, and it's because they're such an "iconic element of Japanese culture".

One of the key elements of Forza Horizon that separates it from its more serious Motorsport counterpart is the massive open worlds that you can drive through and explore to your heart's content. If you're anything like me, though, driving and exploring often takes a backseat to tuning up a car and letting it smash through everything in sight.

There's nothing more satisfying than taking a random car and sending it flying through trees, lampposts, signs, and everything else in sight, and that grand tradition is very much in fact in Forza Horizon 6. That being said, there is one notable exception to your destruction of virtual Japan: its cherry blossom trees.

As pointed out by Dexerto and shown off in a gameplay clip, Forza Horizon 6's cherry blossom trees (also known as sakura trees) are impossible to destroy, no matter how fast you drive into them. While speaking to The Japan Times, Horizon 6 design director Torben Ellert confirmed that this is very intentional.
