BioWare Veterans Form A New Studio And Reveal Their First Game

Former BioWare devs, with credits on the Mass Effect and Dragon Age series, have formed a new indie studio. Studio Reset is formed of three BioWare veterans, and they are already working on their first game.

Studio Reset's debut game is described as a narrative-heavy "neon-noir supernatural mystery". They also say that they will be keeping the team small, so everyone will be close to the development process.

The studio was founded by Kaelin Lavallée, Kris Schoneberg, and Francis Lacuna. Lavallée worked as a level designer on Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2, before being a lead narrative designer on Dragon Age: Inquisition and Mass Effect: Andromeda. Similarly, Schoneberg was a level designer on Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3, having started as an intern on the first Mass Effect and Dragon Age: Origins. She moved up to eventually be a senior level designer on Inquisition and Anthem. Finally, Francis Lacuna was an artist at BioWare for 14 years, working across the Mass Effect and Dragon Age games.
