A well-known Xbox Game Studios insider has provided an update on The Elder Scrolls 6 and Bethesda's long-rumored Fallout remasters. The new claims suggest TES 6 could arrive between the two Fallout remasters, although its release now appears to be farther off than some Bethesda fans may have expected.
On June 11, 2026, the only trailer for the sixth mainline The Elder Scrolls game will turn eight years old. Although Bethesda maintains that the project is progressing well, some vocal fans have grown increasingly frustrated by the lack of substantial TES 6 updates. That situation largely stems from the game being announced roughly half a decade before it entered active production in 2023, after Starfield's release. Meanwhile, Bethesda has long been rumored to be pursuing remasters of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas, based on a combination of leaks and insider reports. However, modernized versions of the two post-apocalyptic open-world RPGs have not yet been officially announced.
