A Ukrainian drone training center is using a modified version of Grand Theft Auto 5 to help users train for shooting down Iranian drones. The GTA 5 mod utilizes a special modded multiplayer server for the game to train pilots in identifying and intercepting drones.

Grand Theft Auto 5 was a landmark release for Rockstar Games and the gaming industry as a whole for many reasons. GTA 5 quickly became one of the best-selling games of all-time worldwide, amassing more than $800 million in revenue within 24 hours of its release. GTA 5 was initially praised for the depth of its open world, its multiple-protagonist-driven storylines, and its overall gameplay, receiving multiple awards following its release. The game's longevity has also been among its biggest claims to fame, remaining popular for more than ten years and now being used for a unique military purpose.
