We've all seen the memes of people fighting at Waffle House. It's not just fist fights either, but cutlery, food, and even chairs are seen flying across the room. It's understandable if it happens once or twice, but these no-holds-barred Waffle House brawls somehow keep happening. Even Tekken's former director, Katsuhiro Harada, can't understand it.
In the past Harada has commented about the unbelievable nature of these showdowns. He has even asked fans if there's some lore behind it, but no one seems to have an answer. So, it seems that the fighting game legend had no other choice but to investigate for himself. He finally made his way to a Waffle House.
Given that Waffle House has become a hotbed for these brawls, and Harada's intrigue in them, Tekken fans have asked him to incorporate the restaurant into the game as a level. Unfortunately, the breakfast chain didn't reply to his messages. He finally got the opportunity to visit a Waffle House branch in person.
