Paralives Launches To 78,000 CCU As Players Rush To This Sims Rival

Paralives launched in early access today on Steam. This finally gives simulation game enthusiasts another alternative to The Sims 4, after InZoi failed to take on EA in the way they hoped.

Now, it's clear that there's a huge market for this kind of game, as Paralives has peaked at 78,603 concurrent players on Steam so far. That's just hours after early access went live, and right in the middle of the work day for many of us, so that number could rise even further as the week continues.

As I write this, Paralives is at 78,062 concurrent players, so it seems that this is where it will even out for now. We could see another spike this evening as everyone gets off work, but even if we don't, this is an incredible showing for the game already.

What's also reassuring is that the reviews are still mostly positive, even with all of the expectations that come with trying to take on The Sims 4.
