The first extended look at gameplay for Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2's version of Metal Gear Solid 4 has just been revealed. This lengthy gameplay stream shows off around an hour of Metal Gear Solid 4 gameplay, giving fans their first proper look at this souped-up version's new and improved features.

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 is currently set for an August 27, 2026 release on PC, Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. While the first volume of the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection brought together improved versions of Metal Gear 1 and 2 and Metal Gear Solid 1, 2, and 3, the second volume is bringing Metal Gear Solid 4 and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker to the table. The addition of Metal Gear Solid 4 is particularly noteworthy as the game can currently only be played (legally) by those who own both a PlayStation 3 and an original physical copy of MGS4.

A release date trailer reveals that a new indie title is coming to the PS5, and it takes direct inspiration from the PS1's stealth action classic.
