Marvel Officially Unveils Incredible Wolverine Redesign

Since his debut in 1974, Marvel's iconic Wolverine antihero has undergone some of the most recognizable visual evolutions in comic book history. Originally designed with a bright yellow-and-blue costume inspired by traditional superhero aesthetics, Wolverine’s early appearance featured the sharp mask fins, clawed gloves, and feral beast-like posture.

Through the 80s and 90s, artists such as Frank Miller and Jim Lee helped redefine his image with darker colors, reimagined suits, and a more rugged, muscular build that reflected the character's personality more accurately. Then, of course, there's Hugh Jackman’s iconic portrayal in the X-Men films, which further transformed Wolverine and influenced both comics and popular culture for years to come.

More recent renditions continue to experiment with his look, reinventing the classic take to make it new again, as seen in the upcoming Marvel's Wolverine from Insomniac Games, set to launch this September. However, Marvel just officially unveiled a completely brand-new Wolverine redesign, and it's certain to blow longtime fans' expectations out of the water (via X).
