Nintendo Switch owners are getting increasingly used to the idea of getting games for free, mostly through Nintendo Switch Online. For example, if you have the NSO + Expansion Pack and a Switch 2, you can get even more games for free thanks to the GameCube library on NSO. However, Nintendo also sometimes offers up games for free through limited-time trials, which is the case for this 2025 hit.
A recent example of this was when MLB The Show 26 was free for a 6-day period back in April. A similar situation is in effect right now, but for an award-winning viral game from last year. If you've got NSO, be sure to take advantage of the free trial before it expires on Monday.

As announced over on X by the official Nintendo of Europe account, Nintendo Switch Online members will be given free access to BALL x PIT. And if you own a Switch 2, you'll be able to get the game's free upgrade pack. The offer runs from May 26 until June 1, 2026, offering just under a full week of play.
