Crash Bandicoot remains one of the most iconic characters in gaming. Although his output has slowed considerably since the release of the original trilogy, he is still an incredibly recognizable character representing an entire era and, at one point, was one of the go-to characters to showcase the PlayStation brand.
Spyro isn't a slouch, either. Kicking off just two years after Crash started, Spyro hosted his own trilogy, as well as a ton of other games that have since culminated in 2018's Spyro Reignited Trilogy. For years, fans have wanted the series to fully return with a brand-new game, just like Crash Bandicoot did with Crash 4, but it hasn't happened yet.
The two characters are incredibly intertwined. While they did technically cross over in the Skylanders series as guest characters, this is something else. Over on YouTube, fans are discussing gameplay of the two crossing over, reigniting the fanbase for both franchises.
