Halo is one of those franchises that has a lot of eyes on it. It's been around for two and a half decades now, and that's long enough for fans to have had kids who also play Halo games, and for them to enjoy co-op together. It's not something you think of immediately as nearly 30 years old, but it's getting there.
Because of that massive amount of history and incredible pedigree, there are a lot of fans expecting different things from the series. Some want to see the adventures of Master Chief continue, and others enjoy stories like ODST. Now, a prequel is uniting them, providing something for everyone.
