Pragmata is the latest in a recent string of successful releases for Capcom, achieving critical acclaim with a Metascore of 85 on Metacritic and an average critic score of 86 on OpenCritic.
The Xbox 360-esque science-fiction third-person shooter has proven popular with players, too, selling over 2 million copies in the first two weeks after its release.
Naturally, people are curious whether the story of Hugh and Diana will be continued in a sequel. Out of all the triple-A studios out there, Capcom is one of the more reliable publishers for following up a commercial hit with a sequel — there are over 30 Resident Evil games, after all.
In an interview with GamesRadar+, Pragmata producer Naoto Oyama expressed enthusiasm for a potential Pragmata 2 but said it's ultimately not up to the Pragmata team whether they get a sequel.
"I honestly don't know what the future holds. Like you said, it's only been a month since Pragmata went on sale, so honestly, what I'm focused on is just trying to get as many people to experience Pragmata as I can.
