More than 40 new free downloads have been made available for select PlayStation Plus members, and you may qualify to check them out without having to pay anything extra. It’s been a rather interesting month for Sony’s subscription service. While there’s a consistent influx of new games being added to the catalog in May, Sony announced an unexpected price hike for PS Plus memberships, with varying increases based on specific tiers. Essential, Extra, and Premium members are now paying more for their subscription fees.
However, Sony seems to be keen on justifying the price hike through actions, at least for some members. As was reported by Push Square, the company just added 40 free downloads for players to take advantage of, but this is only available for members of the Premium tier. The opportunity is time-gated too, as it will only be available until June 10 as part of the Days of Play event. From now until then, you can check out 40 great games without having to pay any additional fees.
