Taking what has been officially revealed or teased thus far, all we can truly surmise from Insomniac’s game slate is that Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 will follow Marvel’s Wolverine. There has been no actual word shared on a hypothetical Venom half-sequel, for example, and Insomniac would supposedly want to continue or finish its beloved Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise before indulging fully in any X-Men-related endeavors it may have planned.
Either way, Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 is inevitable. Marvel’s Wolverine’s release date is two months shy of Grand Theft Auto 6’s, too, and there is a high likelihood that fans will suspect Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 news to be shared every summer afterward. But news of when the PS6 will be released is perhaps far more pertinent, especially if Insomniac decides to make a pattern of pairing a new game release with a next-gen PlayStation console launch.
