As sure as the sun rises in the morning, a new year sees the release of a new Call of Duty. And so it is that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 has officially been announced over at Activision. This latest entry sees Infinty Ward return to the series with a brand-new single-player campaign, plenty of multiplayer modes, and the return of DMZ.
Of course, the big thing you probably want to know is when you'll be able to get your hands on the new entry. It's officially been confirmed that Modern Warfare 4 launches October 23, 2026, for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. This is notable for two main reasons: this is the first Call of Duty to land on a Nintendo console was 2013's Ghosts on the ill-fated Wii U. It also means Call of Duty is finally leaving the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One behind for the first time in 13 years.
