Steam Makes Popular 6-Player Co-Op Game Free Until June 1

Thanks to a popular Steam promotion, users are able to download and play a popular co-op action RPG completely free of charge, at least until a specific time on June 1. It supports co-op up to 6 players, meaning Steam users should definitely invite their friends to download the game in question, Path of Exile 2, and give it a try as well.

However, fans should be aware that this is a Steam Free Weekend Promotion, not the more popular Steam Free-to-Keep Promotion. The two are essentially the inverse of each other. Steam's Free-to-Keep Promotion lets users claim a game until a certain date for free and then keep it forever, while the Free Weekend Promotion (typically hosted on the weekend, as the promotion title implies) is only free for a limited time.

Steam's Free-to-Keep Promotion is currently slated to get at least five games in June, although more are on the way and one has a slight caveat.
