LEGO Pokemon TCG Contest Has 5 Dynamic Sets as Finalists

LEGO has plans to make a set based on the Pokemon TCG, and it's giving fans the opportunity to decide which one will get released. After a partnership with MEGA Bloks that lasted several years, the Pokemon license ended up with LEGO at the start of 2026. The company has wasted no time putting its mark on the franchise, releasing multiple sets based on popular Pokemon, as well as iconic elements like the Kanto Gym Badges and a Pokemon Center.

While the company has been quiet about its future plans, several LEGO Pokemon sets have leaked online. Over the last three decades, the Pokemon franchise has grown massively, and there's no shortage of potential sets LEGO could offer. Right now, the focus seems to be largely on the first generation of games, but it's clear that LEGO will expand beyond elements introduced in Pokemon Red and Green.

Back in March, LEGO began a contest tasking builders to come up with a set based on the Pokemon TCG. With the Pokedex currently sitting at 1,025 entries, the company put in place specific guidelines regarding which Pokemon were allowed.
