The Sims 4 recently released its latest free update for the base game, aiming to enhance it with fresh content. However, instead of excitement, many players of The Sims 4 have expressed widespread frustration due to a range of bugs and performance issues that have plagued the update.

The July 2024 update for The Sims 4 brought significant changes to relationships and various gameplay aspects. Sims in committed relationships no longer receive unsolicited flirtations unless they have the Noncommittal Trait, and married Sims will not receive Wants to flirt with others. The update also fixed issues like Sims teleporting when changing their walking routes, makeup sliders not maintaining settings when exiting Create-a-Sim, and frame rate stuttering shortly after launching the game. Additional improvements included toddlers receiving Top Notch and Happy Reward Traits upon reaching required skill levels, ensuring stair railings remained visible when placing tiles next to one-tile rooms, correcting the fit of various nose rings, and more.
