Back in May, Nintendo made the disappointing announcement that its Nintendo Switch 2 consoles would be receiving quite a major price increase, taking the standard edition from $449.99 to $499.99 in the United States. However, in Canada, the Nintendo Switch 2 will now cost a whopping $679.99, making it a major investment for anybody yet to get their hands on the latest Nintendo handheld.
However, with a report from Bloomberg revealing that Nintendo is planning to "assemble about 20 million Switch 2 consoles in the year through March", users have been left wondering what the company has planned. If prices of the Nintendo Switch 2 are set to be increased, what makes Nintendo think that it needs to make even MORE units? Surely, this price increase will stop people from purchasing it.
Not only that, but with many industry insiders believing that this will not be the only price increase from Nintendo, considering that the cost of hardware has been increasing rapidly in recent years, what does the future look like for the company, and most importantly, its fans?
Well, according to YouTuber Destin, all of this could be solved with the release of a The Legend of Zelda remake....
