The Legend of Zelda is celebrating a very big birthday this year, as the franchise passes 40 years since the release of the first game. Since then, we have been through some real highs as fans, with several games in the series serving as some of the best examples of the genre found anywhere.
As part of the wider celebrations around the anniversary, the community is expecting some pretty big things on the part of Nintendo, most notably new game announcements. The Ocarina of Time remake is still a distinct possibility, while we're still obviously yet to have a main series game built natively for the Nintendo Switch 2. The latter is very much up in the air in terms of content as well, and fans can't decide exactly how they want the developer to go about it all.
Over on Reddit, one user shared a post detailing leaks shared by Nick on the XboxEra Podcast, in which he detailed tidbits of information he had heard around what the game could be like. The most interesting quote is that they are planning on, "Staying in that same track of Breath of the Wild & Tears of the Kingdom."
