CD Projekt Red has recently confirmed that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has sold 65 million copies. This news came just one day after CD Projekt Red announced The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Songs of the Past, a third full-fledged expansion coming to the beloved action-RPG in 2027.
First rumored to exist back in June 2025, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Songs of the Past will see players take on the role of the legendary monster-slayer Geralt of Rivia once more in a brand-new adventure that's said to tee-up the events of the upcoming Witcher 4. This third major expansion is being co-developed by CD Projekt Red and Fool's Theory, a studio formed by ex-CD Projekt Red devs who have previously released Seven: The Days Long Gone and The Thaumaturge, and are currently at work on developing a full remake of the first Witcher game.
