The fun thing about being reductive is how it can take things that are in no way similar and make them sound identical. A brave mouse in a soulslike adventure through a dark world presented in a retro style? How many of those could there possibly be? Well, as it turns out that while the description is accurate for the high-profile Mina the Hollower, it's also accurate in an incredibly different way for Mouseward. Mouseward is a classic-styled soulslike featuring a mouse adventurer running through fully 3D environments that's far more Playstation 2 in its presentation, although it's got a bit of Nintendo 64-style collectathon going on to help encourage poking into every nook and cranny in the game.
