More Than 400,000 Of You Returned To Path Of Exile 2 Over The Weekend

Path of Exile 2 got a huge new update last week - Return of the Ancients. That combined with the action RPG going free-to-play for the weekend to celebrate resulted in the sequel hitting its highest player count since it entered early access 18 months ago.

Turns out quite a few of you have been waiting for an excuse to go back to Path of Exile 2. Hundreds of thousands of you, as at its peak during its free weekend, 421,000 of you were playing it on Steam alone, according to SteamDB. The free weekend was also available on Xbox, where, although the numbers won't have been quite as high as they were on Steam, I imagine quite a few more of you were playing it, too.
