Silent Hill: Townfall has received an age rating from the ESRB, in preparation for release. That is despite the game not currently having a firm release date, instead having a vague 2026 release window.
Given the timing of the age rating being shared, it is likely that Silent Hill: Townfall will feature at tonight's State of Play. If so, that increases the odds that Townfall will be a PlayStation console exclusive, as previously predicted.
The age rating itself doesn't give too much away. It has been rated M by the ESRB, so it is suitable for those 17 and up. We're told that Townfall contains "Blood, Strong Language, and Violence", as well as the use of the F word, so pretty much exactly what you'd expect from a Silent Hill game.
What is interesting is that, once again, we see no mention of Xbox anywhere. This has also been the case with the promotional material for Townfall, furthering the theory that it is skipping Xbox Series X/S altogether. At the very least, we can see it has been rated for PC, so it's not a true PS5 exclusive.
It is interesting to see that Townfall is seemingly skipping Xbox,...
