If you've spent any length of time on the PlayStation Store, you'll know how bad the shovelware situation is right now. Head on over to the New Releases section, and you'll likely be bombarded with dozens of games selling for less than $5 each, either designed as a joke or to give the customer an easy platinum trophy.
PlayStation, to its credit, has been trying to do something about it, having committed to removing low-quality games and AI-generated rip-offs from the store earlier this year, and it has already delisted thousands of titles to date. Now, it's delisted over 1,000 more, though all of these games come from just a single publisher, that being Webnetic.
Even if you've never heard of the name, you'll almost definitely have seen the publisher's games. If you've ever seen games like The Sheep P, The Cow G, The Chick C, or any other combination of "random animal plus letter", then that's a Webnetic games. In fact, the publisher is one of the most prolific on the PlayStation Store, having released a whopping 1,274 games to date.
