Don't Get Your Hopes Up For The Elder Scrolls 6 News, As Insider Says There's "No Chance" Of It Appearing At The Xbox Showcase

I am sure no one regrets Bethesda announcing The Elder Scrolls 6 in 2018 more than Bethesda itself. It's been eight years since we got that initial teaser, and nothing has come of it - and it's all anyone asks about.

Now, it sounds like we're in for more disappointment. Reliable Xbox reporter Jez Corden says that there's "no chance" that we'll get any updates on The Elder Scrolls 6 at Sunday's Xbox Games Showcase. That includes something as small as a new title or non-gameplay cinematic, even after we've waited so long.

Writing for Windows Central, Corden says, "I wouldn't expect to see Elder Scrolls 6 or Fallout 5 here, sadly, as neither are likely to come out in the next 12 months." According to Microsoft, the showcase will indeed focus on games coming within the next year, so that tracks.

On Twitter, Corden was asked if this really means we'll see nothing of the long-awaited TES 6, to which he replies, "no chance sadly."

The only silver lining is that he hasn't ruled out seeing something from the rumoured Fallout 3 Remastered, previously said to be in the works alongside Oblivion Remastered, which launched last year....
