After waiting for another age to pass, Bandai Namco has finally announced the release date for Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition on Nintendo Switch 2 and other platforms, and to no one's surprise, it's being jammed into the already packed late Summer.
Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition was the first game Nintendo showed during the debut Switch 2 Direct, which many fans believed meant that it would be arriving shortly after the console's launch, especially as Elden Ring had been out for a few years at this point. Turns out, FromSoftware would wait a year after the Switch 2's launch to get their aging open-world title on the system.
Bandai Namco has announced that Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on August 28, 2026. Those who already own the game on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox systems will be able to purchase the new content seperarely, meaning they won't miss out for being early adopters.
