Star Wars fans don't have quite as long to wait for the next video game set in a galaxy far, far away as they might have thought. Star Wars Zero Company is now confirmed to be releasing on August 27, 2026, which means it will be the September rush of games aiming to make a splash before GTA 6 arrives in November.
Rumblings of a tactical turn-based game set in the Star Wars universe began in 2022 when Bit Reactor, one of the studios behind Zero Company formed. The game was officially announced last year during 2025's Star Wars celebration, and we were given our best look yet at its take on Star Wars, along with a release date reveal during Summer Game Fest.
The new trailer showed a ton of new gameplay, more of the characters that will be making appearances - including at least one Mandalorian (but not that one) - and closed on the biggest reveal of all. Anakin Skywalker is in the game. Pre-Darth Vader, as he is wielding his blue lightsaber, and the game takes place during the Clone Wars.
Not only will Zero Company be getting out ahead of what is...
