Following years of intense industry speculation, elusive leaks, and even a cancellation that has been rescinded, Panache Digital Games has taken the stage at Summer Game Fest 2026 showcase for a few minutes to officially re-reveal 1666: Amsterdam, a new first-person horror game.

This highly anticipated title serves as the next ambitious project from the independent developer under the creative direction of Patrice Désilets, famously known as the visionary creator behind the iconic Assassin’s Creed franchise and the unique survival experience Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey.

A Grim Historical Reality Met With Occult Forces

During the showcase, a chilling cinematic trailer for 1666: Amsterdam was revealed, proving that the experience will lean heavily into a macabre, narrative-driven tone (just as we all expected!).
