Today at Summer Game Fest, IO Interactive announced the next Elusive Target for Hitman, Wiz Khalifa as the MMA fighter Taylor "The Wizard" Greaves. On top of that, at the IOI Access event, they also announced that they were revisiting Agent 47's original adventures in the Hitman Classic Trilogy.
Veronique Lallier, Chief Development Officer at IOI, welcomes to the stage the COO of Saber Interactive, Tim Willits, to make the announcement.
Hitman Classic Trilogy will consist of Hitman: Codename 47, Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, and Hitman: Contracts. This trilogy will be released on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in 2027.
In talking about creating the port, Willits highlighted that their goal was to enhance the gameplay but to keep the core experience "Nostalgic, but fresh." In bringing these classic Hitman titles from the past into the present, they believed "remastering is about honoring the original while embracing the possible technology of today."
Enhancements that are to be included in this release are a photo mode and instant graphics toggles between original and remastered graphics.
